Within 6 months, a group of young aircraft designers from Warsaw built and flew the RWD-4 sports aircraft, designed specifically to participate in the International Tourist Aircraft Competition Challenge 1930. The RWD-4 was the first mass-produced Polish sports aircraft - a series of 9 aircraft were made in DWL. It was used in the aeroclubs of Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan, Silesia and Lviv. Several dozen photos - including a dozen published for the first time, technical projections in 1/48 scale and profiles of all RWD-4s produced will allow the Reader to become more familiar with the differences between individual copies. Several 'tidbits' from the era that the Author has found will present the history of Polish sports aviation in the 1930s in a new light. Through numerous participations in domestic and foreign competitions, the RWD-4 and its crews promoted Polish aviation perfectly.
