At the beginning of 1937, engineer Bronislaw Zurakowski developed in the design office of the Experimental Aviation Workshops a medical version of the RWD-13 aircraft designated RWD-13S. These aircraft were used in civil aviation (flying clubs, aviation schools) and in the army. In the defensive war of 1939, the RWD-13S took part by transporting medicines for the surrounded Polish troops. The RWD-13S was a Polish-built aircraft that took part in World War II for the longest time. Text in Polish and English.
